Trekking - Nepal
|
 |
Trekking:
perhaps,
Nepal is the very first country to introduce
trekking for the nature lovers, proving as an
ultimate destination for the trekking and
adventure enthusiast - offering a myriad of
possibilities from the short and easy to the
demanding challenges of the snowy peaks.
Trekking in the Himalayas is often regarded as a
'multi-objectives' journey on foot, experiencing
the human civilization, remote lands,
vegetation, wildlife and its culture, high
mountain-paths, crossing deep valleys, sleeping
in tented-camp or local in local tea-houses
keeping close contact with nature and its
elements. Nepal has aptly been called "A
Trekkers' Paradise" as her terrain-mountains,
hills as well as lowland - offers some of the
most spectacular trekking routes in the world.
Trekking in Nepal is as much a cultural
experience as a Himalayan adventure undertaking
and depending on your own energy and granting an
opportunity to testing your physical limit. |
Season. Nepal has
four climatic seasons. A. Spring: mid-February
to May (high season), B. Summer: June to August
(Monsoon. low season), C. Autumn: September to
mid-December (high season), and D. Winter:
December to February (snowfall in the high
region, above 2000 meters. Short trek around
Kathmandu or Pokhara can be done).....Detail

Fitness. All
trekking demands a level of fitness that will
enable person to put good day's walking, up hill
and down. Most treks should not be taken to gain
more than 300 meters to 500 meters in one day
above 3000 meters. There should be plenty of
time during the day to cover this distance, so
the physical exertion though quite strenuous at
times, is not sustained. The best preparation
for trekking is cycling, swimming, jogging,
squash, tennis and long walks involving up and
down hill. Good physical conditioning will
probably help for the maximum enjoyment of a
trekking-course.....Detail
