Lumbini. Lumbini is the
birthplace of Lord Buddha, born in 623 B.C. A
holy place in southwest Terai (lowland) of Nepal
(about 22 kilometers from Taulihawa Bazar),
evokes a kind of holy sentiment to the millions
of Buddhists all over the world -as do Jerusalem
to Christians and Mecca to Muslims. It is
situated 250 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu.
The broken Ashokan pillar, remnants of an old
monastery, images of Buddha's mother Maya Devi,
etc. are still preserved in Lumbini.

Day
01. Kathmandu:
Arrival in Kathmandu.
Transfer to hotel for check-in. Briefing on the trip.
Evening, an introductory sightseeing trip to Downtown
Kathmandu including trip to Soyambhunath Stupa. |

Day 02. Kathmandu to Lumbini (Bhairahawa):
After breakfast, take flight to (45 minutes) Lumbini.
Check in hotel. Visit Maya Devi Temple and all major
monasteries in Lumbin Garden.

Day 03. Lumbini to Tilaurakot (Kapilvastu)
and Kathmandu: Early breakfast at the hotel,
visit Lumbini Garden for worship, then drive to
Tilaurakot (Kapilvastu) covering major shrines such as:
Gotihawa, Niglihawa and Kundan. Drive to Bharahawa and
take flight to Kathmandu. Check in hotel. Visit
Boudhnath Stupa. Sightseeing or shopping in the evening. |

Departure from Kathmandu:
Transfer to Kathmandu
Airport (as per your schedule) for flight to home or
make extension at your own. |

the hotel, then drive to Kathmandu. Visit Ramgram on the
way to Kathmandu. Arrival Kathmandu in the evening.
