Annapurna Sanctuary
(Annapurna Basecamp), probably the most famous trekking
spot in the Mt. Annaurna Region. The
trek begins in Pokhara passing through rice terraces to
reach high mountain glaciers in a matter of days. At the
culmination of the trek one is surrounded by mountain
peaks on all sides. Besides, the Ghorepani offer
panoramic view of mountains.
Ghorepani,
which is the native homeland of world famous Gurkha
Soldiers as well as known for the great views including
the both famous mountains Mt. Annapurna and Mt.
Dhaulagiri as well as other prominent snow-capped peaks
in the Western Development Region of Nepal. For a
panoramic view of northern mountains, Punhill (3193m.)
which is about an hour's climb away from Ghorepani Pass
above Ghorepani Village also offers best view of Mt.
Dhaulagiri, Tukchey Peak in the northwest and Mt.
Annapurna and Mt. Nilgiri in the northeast. The Punhill
also offers far-sighted aerial view of Kaligandaking
Valley (former main trading route between Nepal and
Tibet via Mustang) which is considered as world's
deepest gorge between Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna
range and one of the popular trekking spots in Nepal.

Scheduled itinerary:
Day 01. Kathmandu: Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to
hotel for check-in. Briefing on the trip. Evening, an
introductory sightseeing trip to Downtown Kathmandu.
Day 02. Kathmandu: Full day guided sightseeing trip by
car to all the
major sightseeing spots and landmarks in and around Kathmandu
valley covering Soyambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa and
Patan City.
Day 03. Kathmandu(1350m) to Dhampus (1625m) via Pokhara
(915m): Drive to Phedi via Pokhara. Lunch on the way,
then about 2 hours trek to the camp.
Day 04. Dhampus to Landruk (1646m): Trek.
Day 05. Landruk to Chomrung (1900m): Trek.
Day 06. Chomrung to Hinko Deurali( 3014m): Trek.
Day 07. Hinko to Annapurna Base Camp (3250m): Trek.
Day 08. Annapurna Base Camp (ABC): Rest or explore
around the Base Camp.
Day 09. Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo Camp: Trek.
Day 10. Bamboo Camp to Kimrung Khola: Trek.
Day 11. Kimrung Khola to Tadapani:
Trek.
Day 12. Tadapani to Ghorepani: Trek.
Day 13.
Ghorepani to Pun Hill and Trikedunga: An early morning excursion to Punhill.
Return to Ghorepani, then trek to Trikedunga.
Day 14. Trikedunga to Nayapul and Pokhara:
Trek, then bus to Pokhara from Nayapul.
Day 15. Pokhara: Rest and sightseeing.
Day 16. Pokhara to Kathmandu by bus or flight: Check in
hotel. Trek.
Day 17. Kathmandu: Sightseeing and
shopping.
Day 18. Transfer to airport: Departure from
Kathmandu or make extension as per your time-frame. |
